REVERSE APPLIQUE
THE DAVID WALKER WAY

Following the method of internationally known quilt artist David Walker, abstract pieces will be created using fat quarters and freezer paper. The student will create unique background fabric that will be used for further reverse appliqué work.

Heat guns have a place in the workroom of every textile artist. Acrylic felt is distressed to make patterned fabric motifs and chunky beads.

THERMOFAX SILK SCREENING

Using a Thermofax machine and copyright free photocopied images, fabric will be transformed from ordinary to extraordinary through the application of acrylic paints or inks.
